It's Party Time!

After the band concert, Dusty's sisters family (us included!) had planned a small surprise birthday party for her. Her 50th birthday was Friday, and we figured that the best time to celebrate was after the concert! We had the party at a lovely, new assisted living facility where Vonnie's daughter, Katie works. Vonnie was very surprised!! Besides family and friends, several band members dropped by and it was a fun couple of hours!!

The 1st clarinetist from the band joined us. Holly is an accomplished musician and is so much fun for me to watch and listen to during our practices. I "get to" sit next to her and really enjoy it. It was a pleasure to have the chance to spend some time with her away from the band yesterday, to visit and get to know her better!
